Can One Conversation Change Your Life?

I truly believe that conversations are keys to unlocking what's been stored away in us. Conversations can also be mirrors to show us our true reflection that we otherwise couldn't see. When I wrote my book, Women On The Wall, booklet the Road To Purpose and Destiny and blogs, I write it as if I'm having a conversation with my readers. Why you ask? Because I believe that you're always one conversation away from your breakthrough, deliverance, healing and your purpose and destiny. I truly believe that a simple conversation can absolutely change your mind and in turn change your life.
Let me give you an example; The Bible talks about Jesus traveling and He had to travel through Samaria. Well Jesus decided to take a rest at the well while is disciples went to get something to eat. Lo and behold here comes this Samaritan woman to draw some water from the well. Jesus engaged her into a conversation about water and thirst (don't miss it). Jesus said to the woman "give me a drink" He asked her for one thing to open her up so he can access another. Jesus knew when he asked the woman for water ( Him being a Jew and her being a Samaritan) He would access her beliefs and ideology.( let me show you) Jesus said to the woman "Give me to drink" the woman responded " how is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria?" ( watch this) Jesus has now engaged her in a conversation and He now has access to what she believes and how she perceives her social status.
The conversation continues and now Jesus does a spiritual checkup on this woman. (watch this) Jesus said to the woman " if thou Knewest the gift of God, and who is that saith to thee, Give me to drink, thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given the living water.” Jesus gave her a spiritual question and she gave him a natural response. The woman’s response was " Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then has thou that living water? Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? (she is in knee deep now! look how Jesus responded). Jesus says "But whosever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst, but the water that I shall give him be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. (My God did you catch that) Jesus just crashed her belief process and in the most gentle and humbling way. She thought that their father Jacob was great that's why she asked the question "Are you greater than our father Jacob". Jesus didn't just flat out say yes! (even though he could have) but he let her know that, what her father Jacob gave her is temporal and what I can give you is everlasting, so yes I'm greater! The woman now views Jesus as someone who has something that she needs. Why do I say this? Because she says " Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw" ( Listen there is no way that you can come in contact with Jesus and not want what he has to offer!)
The conversation gets even more intense ( turn to your neighbor and say; some times Jesus has to get all in your personal business to completely set you free!) when Jesus tells the woman " Go, call thy husband, and come hither". The woman answered " I have no husband (watch this) "Jesus said unto her, thou hast well said , I have no husband. For thou has had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly." This part of the conversation just knocked her socks off! She now perceives that Jesus is a prophet which she states, and began to discuss with him about religious practices of her people. She talks about how her people worship God in the mountains but the Jews say that Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.
Jesus tells her that the time is coming when neither of those option will be relevant. Jesus tells her "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a spirit: and they that worship him, must worship him must in spirit and truth. (Do you see how he is renewing her mind?).
Listen Jesus has now set stage to give her what she really needed through this conversation. (Don't miss it!) The woman then says to Jesus "I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come he will tell us all things this conversation started out about water and look at God!) Jesus replied "I that speak unto thee am he" (I don't know about you but I'm having a praise break right here!) This conversation changed this woman's life! The Bible said that she left her water pot ( when you come in contact with Jesus you leave your old stuff behind!) and went into the city saying "Come see a man which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?" This conversation not only changed her life but the Bible says that "and many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.”
People of God listen the Bible says Faith comes by hearing. A conversation is an exchange of hearing and listening. When you hear something that your spirit can hold onto it can literally change your life!. This is why I believe that God laid it on my heart to have this GIRL TALK SUMMIT on November 14, 2015. I want to have a conversation about the issues women deal with, and give solutions on howto overcome them. The Keys To Access The Miraculous
Posted on 1 May, 2016 at 23:00 |
![]() |
Many of us have read the Bible and the accounts of miraculous healing. We’veread how the dead was risen, the blind given sight, the demon possessed delivered and the sick healed. The Bible give accounts of favor and blessings and richesgiven to the people of God, like Job and King Solomon. Yet, there are many of us who have not had first hand accounts of the miraculous. There are some that even suggest that God is no longer in the miraculous business, He retired after the Bible days. I must disagree with that because in the same Bible it states that "He is the same God He changes not" it goes on to say " He is the same God today, yesterday and forever more. I take the word of God very seriously, because I know that God is not a man that He should lie, if it says in His word I'm inclined to believe it.
Now the question becomes for many of us, why haven't I experienced the miraculous of God? This is a very good question and I was determined to figure it out so I went to the Bible to find the answer. I look at the recipients of miraculous encounters and tried to figure out their moves and steps before their experience. When I found myself in a situation where nobody or nothing else can deliver my loves or me out of a situation, I emulate those moves and steps. For instance, recently a friend of mine became gravely sick and was admitted in the hospital. This friend needed to have a miraculous encounter with God, and it needed to happen quickly. I began to think about instances in the Bible, when someone was gravely sick and need healing expediently. The account of a man name Jairus and his 12 year old daughter. I looked at the moves and steps that Jairus took in pursuit of his daughters healing, and gathers these keys to access the miraculous.
Number one the Bible says "Jairus sought out Jesus and pleaded for his help"That means we first must realize Jesus is the answer to our troubles and He's able to fix the issue. Too many of us don't believe that Jesus can do today what he did in the Bible days, so we don't caste our cares on Him as he requests. The Bible says "you receive not because you ask not" this lets us know that no matter what it is we can take it to the Lord in prayer. The Bible says that Jairuspleaded for Jesus, that he was fervent in his request. The Bible says that "The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
When I received the news that my friend was in the hospital gravely sick, I immediately went to God in prayer on her behalf. Why? Because I understand that there's nothing too hard for him. I began to cry out and plead to God on my friend’s behalf, and I continue to do that in my time of prayer. I bombarded heaven with my request (I was pleading for help!) and did not stop until something happened.
Two, the Bible says that as Jesus and Jairus was traveling to his house, Jairusreceived a report that his daughter was dead, and there was no need to bring Jesus to his home. Jesus over hears this and says to Jarius "don't be afraid just believe, and she will be healed." Every time I read this statement which Jesus made, itblows my mind, because the report says she's dead however Jesus still states He's going to heal her, not resurrect her. That lets us know, no matter what the report says, no matter what it looks like, believe that God is going to do what he said he's going to do! My friend had so many tests done and the report came back that my friend needed major surgery. I continued to believe God and did not give the doctors report more weight then I gave Gods ability. When I prayed for my friend the night before surgery the first thing I said was "whose report shall we believe, we believe yours God, and if it's your will that this surgery be done, let thy will be done. I asked God to be in complete control of the surgeon and everything in that operating room." The day of the surgery came and there was a mishap, so no surgery. The second attempt to do the surgery another issue arose, so no surgery. I noticed that each time I saw my friend the night before the scheduled surgery, my friend was getting stronger and stronger. I would pray with my friend each night before the surgery and in my personal prayer time, I never stopped. On the third attempt to do the surgery and was deemed unnecessary at that time and my friend was discharged from the hospital, and went home that very day.
Listen my friend went from gravely ill and needing major surgery, to no surgery and discharged from the hospital. Jairus’ daughter went from being confirmed dead to alive and well. When the question is asked, is God still in the miraculous business? My answer is absolutely yes! Jesus left us keys to the Kingdom and we have the authority to access the things of the Kingdom, we just have to use the keys. The Bible says that healing is the children's bread, if it belongs to us why shouldn't we partake of it. Don't continue to be locked out of the miraculous, use your keys! Believe that God is able to fix your issue, no matter how difficult it looks. Go fervently before the thrown of grace, plead with God to help you with your situation without ceasing. No matter how bad the report comes back don't stop believing! (I always make this statement it usually looks real crazy right before the miracle). Whatever way God decided to do it don't question it, remember His thoughts are not our thoughts, and His ways is not our ways. Last but not least sit back and watch the miraculous take place right in front of your very eyes!
People of God listen we serve an awesome living God, He didn't die in the Bible days. Our God still have all power in His hands, He still causes the sun to rise and shine, and the seas to stay in there appointed place. I'm a witness that God is still in the healing, deliverance and setting free business! If we want to tap into the miraculous we must use our keys, and the doors will be open up to us. Will you try yours today?

Are You In Need Of A Life Changing Conversation?
Posted on 24 April, 2016 at 23:10 |

Words are one of the most powerful things we have on this earth. Words can bring destruction or they can bring peace. Words have ended wars, saved souls, joined couples in holy matrimony, brought families together and is the reason why some of us are here,(our Father's did some sweet talking). When you get right down to it, if it wasn't for spoken words this earth and everything in it including man would not be here today.
In Genesis the Bible declares that God spoke the words “Let there be light” and the light formed and the darkness couldn't conceive it. That means, words held great weight from the very beginning of existence, and have not lost its power. Words shape how we think and in turn affect who we are now, and who we will become.
I believe that a conversation can interrupt and change your life negatively or positively. I know people who sat down with their spouse and had a conversation, and the end result , they ended up divorced. There are some people who had a conversation with a Doctor and it threw them and their family in a state of panic. There are some people who started new careers and started their own businesses, simply because a conversation they had. A conversation have sent drug addicts to rehab and pulled prostitutes off the street, and sent them home. I have had conversation with people about Jesus Christ and they went from a nonbeliever to a believer, due to that conversation. There are people who change their eating habits because of a conversation they had about their health. I'm telling you words are powerful and they have proved themselves to be, before we started walking on this planet.
That's why I believe that most of us are one conversation away from entering into our purpose and destiny. No seriously, I truly believe that because some of us have not done so yet, because we haven't heard that we could. The Bible says faith comes by hearing; sometimes you have to hear that you have the strength, power and ability to do anything you set your mind to. Sometimes you need to have a conversation with someone to remind you of where you have been, and how far you came already. I also find it interesting when people whom I know to be strong and powerful, consider themselves weak. When I have a conversation with them and make the statement I want to be strong like you, they always reply “You think I'm strong.” I would run down the list of all the things they've been through, and point out the fact their still standing! Let me tell you after I have had these conversations I've seen these same people walk tell with their heads lifted. The same people who didn't consider themselves strong, are now walking in their strength and empowering others to do the same. That's powerful, because that means words have a trickle-down effect!
Words swing people into action and get them moving into their purpose. The Bible tells the story of the prodigal son, who spoke a word to himself and changed his life. If you don't know the story here's a quick recap, this young man went to his father and asked for his inheritance before his father had passed on. His father honored his request and gave him his inheritance, and he blew it all on foolishness (that's a nice way of putting it). This young man ended up working for someone in their pig pen (talk about from richest to rags), and desired to eat the same food as the pigs. One day this young man had a conversation with himself and said, my father have a big house with plenty of food and servants. I rather go and be his servant then stay here. Listen after he had that conversation with himself the Bible says he got up and journeyed his way back home. When he arrived his father rejoiced and took him back in and restored his sonship.
I could tell you countless stories about how a simple conversation changed my life and thrust me into my purpose. That's why I believe God gave me the Girl Talk Summit, because He knows I understand how impacting words are. Girl Talk summit is a summit where I gather some amazing women to deal with the issues we deal with as women and how we can overcome them. When I tell you its life changing I kid you not. Last year the women who attended were blessed and I believe God is going to do something even greater this year. If you're a woman, you don't want to miss this Summit on June 4th, 2016 at the Residence Inn in Bronx, NY.
People of God listen you're one word, one conversation away from walking into your purpose. Let's continue to ask the Lord for ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to us concerning our next step in life. To all the women meet me on June 4th, 2016 because I believe the words that you hear is going to impact and change your life!

What's Really Blocking You From Your Destiny?
Posted on 18 April, 2016 at 4:05 |
![]() |
In today's world, the popular thing to do is proclaiming and giving announcement to our "haters". We hear it all the time how people work hard to fight against others, to block them from their purpose or success. Then we make great announcement to our haters like " You tried to block me but I'm going to go over you." I have seen a t-shirt that gave greetings to the haters, it said "Hi Haters". When people give you the cold shoulder or attitude for no reason, we just send them to the haters’ corner and go about our way. I understand why we just don't want any dealings with "the haters" because who need or want negativity in their life right.?
Why don't we have that same zeal when the negativity is coming from within. There are more of us that are actually holding ourselves back from our purpose and success than "the haters", with our Negative thinking and inner Val's. (I don’t follow this, when you say critical thinking its referring to how one think through their problems to solve it. There are some of us that are so afraid of being rejected that we won't step out and operate in things we are gifted in, because we worry about what somebody's going to think. We're worried about if someone is going to dislike us if we say or do certain things. Too many of us don't walk into our successful place because we don't believe that we are good enough, smart enough, have enough college degrees, pretty enough and wise enough; and to that I say enough is enough! We won't step out in faith because we already convinced ourselves that we will absolutely fail. Let me ask you a question, who do you know that is successful now, started off by telling themselves that they will fail, yet succeeded? People do not start businesses thinking to themselves I know it's going to fail.
The Bible says "For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he" (Proverbs 23:7). That means what you tell yourself about you, carry more weight than any hater. Why, because the way you think becomes you and it molds you into the person you're currently and will become. I hope you caught that because some of us have been thinking we will never succeed, some of us have been thinking we don't deserve better, some of us have been thinking well my daddy wasn't there for me and I turned out alright, so I don't have to be there for my children. There are some of us who have been thinking well they've been calling me a whore all my life, so I guess I'll act like one. Listen there are some of us that have been thinking I saw my mother getting beat all the time, so it must be alright. There are some of us who think that the more we are abused proves how great our abuser loves us (Which I never understood, but I guess it's the way I thinketh!)
We start to make inner Val's (I’m thinking you want to say value) that shape our life due to the way we think, which becomes our belief system. If we have convince ourselves that we will never be successful then we just won't try. If we convince ourselves that marriage never work and the two parties are never happy, then guess what? When we persuade ourselves that we don't deserve to be with someone who respects us, genuinely care for us and love us unconditionally, we end up in abusive relationships. We swear to ourselves that we cannot practice portion control or healthy eating, we end up overweight and some with health issues. We must realize that the way we think of ourselves could affect us mentally, physically and spiritually. Yes spiritually there's some of us who will not turn to God because we don't feel we are worthy of His love.
Listen they're too many of us worried about our haters, when we're our biggest hindering. We only have haters when we are doing something for them to hate on in the first place. I have to say this (and it's out of love) if you're not moving in your purpose or working towards success the "Haters" have no reason to hate on you. If we're not living out our best life and evolving into our best self, then we need to look inside not outside. The "haters" should be looking at you enviously because you're moving and growing in places they haven't had the courage to do themselves. However if you're sitting on the same bench as them twittering your thumbs, you're just a co-spectator.
People of God listen the Bible says " Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies”. That means it's clear we're going to have enemies or "haters", however, we must first be at the table! (Amen) Watch this they must be present or else the table won't be prepared! Let's not worry about the "haters" they will do their job, haters going to hate right? We should turn the energy we use to identify our haters to weeding out what's blocking us from the inside. Do a self-checkup and see if you are a victim of stinking (love lol) thinking, and if the diagnosis says “yes”e Chang it quickly. Let's not allow anything outside or inside block us from our purpose and destiny.

A Key To Understanding Your Calling
Posted on 10 April, 2016 at 22:50 |
![]() |
Have you ever been called to do something that you just thought was way out of your league? When it was revealed to you, you said not me I can't do that, I don't have the experience nor the knowledge. Yet, that same thing kept presenting it self to you over and over again. Have you ever found yourself doing something on a regular basis and not realizing it, until someone pointed it out? For example, I didn't really pay attention to the fact that on a daily basis I would talk to people and give them advice. I would encourage them to move into the things that came naturally to them, in their professional, personal or spiritual life. I would walk them through what they believed their next step would be, tweak what needed to be tweaked and wait for the report of the outcome.
People in my life when they would over hear me having these conversations, would say you should be a counselor. My response would always be "no that's not for, I have enough problems on my own to deal with." Then the person would always say, "Well you're doing it already whether you know or not". I would just laugh it off and say, "No I'm just having a conversation and giving friendly advice." Yet, I continued to encourage and help people realize their inner desire and help them with steps to achieve them.
Well one day someone over heard me talking to someone, and she asked me a question that changed my life. This woman asked me "Are you a life coach because you sure were coaching that person." Until that time I have never heard anyone say life coach to describe what I was doing. For some reason that term resonated with me more than counselor. My response to her was "No I'm not a life coach, and I'm not sure what that is." She responded that "A life coach is a person who coaches people on personal or career challenges, and that's exactly what I heard you just do." She started telling about people she knew whom are life coaches, and that I should look up information about it and look into it.
My interest was sparked so I began looking up information about life coaches. I came across one definition that said, a life coach is a person who counsels (immediately a red flag went up) and encourage clients on matters having to do with careers or personal challenges. I realized that whenever I thought of the word counselor, I immediately thought about dealing with people with psychosis, and thinking nope that's not my calling. However I didn't just shy away from it as usual, I continued to gather information (because something inside of me would not let it go) to better understand. I read one article that explained that a life coach is a professional who helps you reach a goal or make a change in your life. They help you get out of your way. The more I researched, the more I became to realize that this was in fact me.
When I came across the Hiscoach Training Academy it was confirmation that this is something I was called to do. HIScoach is comprised of Spirit led coaches, who allow the Spirit of God to take part of the clients journey to change their life. It made so much sense to me, I guess because I was already a minister and understood that we do in fact need God to direct our path. I finally had revelations of what people have been saying to me for years. The Bible says wisdom is the principal thing: therefore get wisdom and with all thy getting get understanding (Proverbs 4:7)
Listen, sometimes we don't walk in our callings because we don't understand what exactly it is. However when something continues to tug at us, we need to use wisdom, and do our due diligence and get an understanding of what that calling is. Sometimes it could be the way it is presented to us that seems off, (like in my case) that's why we're unclear. However, when God have something for you to do, He will show you different signs and send different messengers so that you can get it! When you understand what the assignment is, then go forth and do what you’re called to do. I signed up with the Hiscoach Training Academy and as of January of this year I am a certified Hiscoach! That's another thing, I want to stress to you, invest in yourself. We give to so much to our families, children and all kinds of charities, however when it comes to investing in our selves some people have a problem with that. I can attest to that, because I was one who would give and do for everybody else, but when it came to me I would hold back (Thank God for deliverance!).
People of God listen, don't let anything stop you from walking into your calling. We were all sent here on assignment and are accountable to complete them during our stay here on earth. Don't leave this earth with your work undone, and have to give an answer to God why your work is unfinished (could you imagine that). Listen don't let fear or the nay sayers stop you! We usually fear things we don't understand, therefore, once you have knowledge of a thing it is easy to conquer it. I promise you that the monster that you fear is in the closet, if you open the door you'll realize it's just an old coat! Today I admonish you not to just walk in your calling but overtake it and excel in it!

DON'T BE AN IMPOSTER , BE AUTHENTICALLY YOU

I heard a story about a woman who went to a foreign country to have plastic surgery. This woman was thirty five years old with three children, one she just had seven months prior to her having the surgery. Apparently she was having five different procedures done, and she lost her life in the process of it. Now the elderly mother of this woman is forced to take care of three small children.
This story absolutely broke my heart because it bothers me that women will go through death defying lengths to live up to the media standards of beauty. It blows my mind how many young and older women work so hard to look like people who they see on television. What's even crazier to me is that they believe if they look like them that their lives will be like theirs. It's truly sad how the cloud of delusion has covered so many and in the fog of a false reality.
Well let me rain down some wisdom so we can try to clear this mess up and the sun can shine again. First, you must come to the realization of how you arrived at this place. This should make you stand tall in your original statue. You began as a thought in the mind of an all- powerful God. The same God who spoke the world into existence sat down one day and thought about creating you. He thought that the idea of you was so good that he set things in motion to bring you into existence. Did you catch that? You started out as a thought in the mind of God! Have you ever had a vision or thought to do something and you could not rest until you completed it. I get excited when I think about this because I know that God had need of me, the authentic me. That's why I don't desire to be someone else because if God thought so much of me to bring me to existence, who am I to disagree with God.
The next thing you must understand is that your energy should be used to become the best you, not someone else. Why? Because everyone is unique and no matter how hard you try you can never become someone else. You cannot occupy a space that someone is already in. You can try and be like them, however you cannot be them. My question to you is why would you want to be copies when you can be an original? No matter how hard you try to copy somebody's life you will never be that person. You can study their mannerisms and perfect them, you can even have plastic surgery to mimic their face and body. However, after you done all that, you're now called an impersonator. The definition of an impersonator is someone who imitates or copies the behavior or action of another.
Why be an impersonator when you can be authentically you? Listen, nobody can beat you at being you. I suggest that we use all that energy in trying to be someone else to becoming our true selves. If we are honest with ourselves we will realize that we haven't even passed the surface of discovering who we really are. We must dig deeper into the manifolds of who we truly are. God made us in His image and as we walk with him we learn more of him. The more we seek him the more revelation he gives us of him. The Bible says seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you. (Mathew 6:33) Well I submit to you if you seek what's inside of you, you will find that there's something great in there. When we get a glimpse of what we have inside we become focus on unlocking what's within, not imitating what's without.
Listen life is short already don't waste your time here on earth in a false reality. Don't spend your time here trying to be like someone else. The definition of try is, make an attempt or effort to do something. Watch this, if you spend your lifetime attempting or making an effort to do something, this means you would have spent a lifetime accomplishing nothing! Then we must ask ourselves the hard question, is my living in vain? In the words of the Apostle Paul " God Forbid" Please understand that you have purpose and destiny stored up inside of you.
People of God listen your reality does not just affect you, but also the ones around you. That woman who lost her life trying to live up to the media image of what a woman should look like, left three children behind. Her elderly mother who should be able to enjoy her golden years must now start all over again taking care of children. I want to point this out that the father or father's did not step up to take care of the children. For all the women who go through these procedures to attract men be careful with the bait you use, because imitation begets imitation (y'all better catch that.)

ARE YOU READY TO COME OUT OF THAT VALLEY EXPERIENCE?

Have you ever found yourself in a uncomfortable place, mentally or physically? I'm talking about a place where there's great opposition, confusion, bondage and just an intolerable place to be. You find yourself questioning why am I here and how do I get out! You sit and ponder different ways to get out of your current situation, paying no regard to what's or who's around. Only focusing on your circumstances, your situations, and your desire to get out of that place.
I was talking to this gentleman one day, and he began to tell me his testimony, how God took him off his job where he was absolutely miserable. He said that the thought of going to work every day literally made him sick, and that he would continuously pray and ask God to open up a door for him that he would be able to leave that job. Well a couple of years went by and he was still in that same place and didn't see no way out. He said he would distance himself from his coworkers, because he is a Minister and he didn't want to deal with the foolishness that was going on. Directly after his shift was over, he would change his clothes and bolt for the door!
Now three or four years have passed and he is still on this job having what I call a valley experience. In a valley experience it's dark, gloomy, depressing, joyless and physically and mentally draining. One day one of his coworkers came up to him and said "I don't know what God you serve, but whoever he is I need to know him". The gentleman asked the guy "Why do you say that?" The guy said "Because you always have a cool head and you never get involved in any of the foolishness that goes on around here" (watch this) He said "Whoever you been praying to is keeping and protecting you, and I want that too." The gentleman witness to the man who was Buddhist and began to pray for him, and he converted to Christianity. The gentleman said after that he continuously prayed for the man and others on the job, and their lives began to change and prosper. Then three weeks later (don't miss it! ) God took him off that job and he was released from that bondage.
The Bible says seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will have welfare. (Jeremiah 29:7) That means when you're in your valley experience don't just think about your pain, your situation, your misery, but think about others in that valley with you. Pray for them! Have you ever thought that maybe that's the reason why you're in the valley in the first place? Listen the Bible says when you pray for others welfare in its welfare you will have welfare. In other words when you take the focus off yourself and put it on someone else, God will not only bless them but you also. The gentleman prayed for three to four years for himself " Lord please release me from this job" notice that once he began praying for his coworkers, what he was praying for years for was released in three weeks!
Listen when Job was going through his ordeal, he didn't get blessed with the double portion until after he prayed for his friends. When you read the book of Job and realize all the hell he was going through, not only did he lose everything including his possession and his children and then sickness fall on him. Do you think in that moment Job wanted to focus on praying for his friends? However, the blessings and restoration did not come until Job took the focus off of him.
People of God listen I know we don't like being in the valley, however sometimes our assignment lays in that very place. The sooner we take the focus off of us and become the light that shine and overtake every dark situation or environment we're placed in, the sooner God will release us from it. My sister my brother don't sit in the valley experience longer than you have to, wrap yourself in your prayer mantle and intercede for someone else. In the midst of your prayers God will come rescue them and he won't forget about you!

IS It Ever Really Good To Be Afflicted?
Posted on 20 March, 2016 at 20:30 |

One thing that is absolutely sure about this life is that everyone will go through something. There will be trials, tribulations, hurdles and battles one must fight in this race we call life. We must understand that the sun don't always shine and sometimes it's going to rain or snow. There will be times when all is going right and times when everything that could go wrong, goes wrong! The same people who tell you they will love you forever and never leave, will do exactly what they promise they wouldn't. There will be loss of love ones, finances, possessions and sometimes it will feel like literally your mind. There will be times when you have many people walking with, and then there will be times when you have to walk all by yourself.
Yet these circumstances are not meant to break us, they come to make us who we are destined to be,I know it's a hard pill to swallow but it's true!). If we are absolutely honest with ourselves we would admit that if it wasn't for some jacked up situation we wouldn't be who we are today. How many success stories have we heard that the person says “it wasn't until after I hit rock bottom, that I started to climb to the top.” People don't tell their testimony until they have gone through their test. People don't brag about being on the wagon unless they have been off it in the first place. You can't recover from something unless you’ve been through something, and you can't learn a lesson if you’ve never read the material.
I remember reading the scripture that says "It was good that I was afflicted…", I asked myself "When will it every be good to be afflicted?". My prayer at that time was Lord make me into what you desire for me to be, however please skip the afflicted part (I didn't want no parts of that!). Well that was one of my many unanswered prayers; no, better yet one of the many no's I received. Listen I had been praying for a smooth ride through this life, and the more I asked, the bumpier the ride would get (so I stop asking!). I found myself dealing with things that I always thought I was not strong enough to handle. For instance for most of my life I was in good health, never been in the hospital nor received a bad report. My testimony was God is good because he never allowed any sickness to touch me. Well, all that changed and the bad doctor reports started coming and everything wasn't all good. God healed me from those issues and my testimony is still God is good, but now it's because I also know him as my healer. If I was never afflicted I wouldn't know him as my healer, so it was good.
Now when I tell people that God is a healer I'm not speaking it just because I read it in the scriptures, but because I experienced it for myself. The Bible says we overcome the devil by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. When the enemy is trying to deceive someone or myself (because that's his job and he's good at it) saying, that God can't heal you from this sickness, we can overcome him because my testimony says God can. When you have the knowledge and the experience of what God can and will do for his children, can't no devil in hell or this earth can shake you. You will be like a tree planted with deep roots, and the winds may blow and you may lean from side to side but you will not fall! (My God I felt that!). I have been through many things in my life; lost finance and possession, loss of love ones, heart break, sickness, people have walked away, wrongfully accused, talked about and mistreated. However,I'm not bitter or sitting somewhere feeling sorry for myself, why? Because it was good for me. I'm stronger than I have ever been and (watch this) God knows that he can use me because I will not falter. I have the endurance to take a licking (God knows I have) and keep on ticking.
Listen I know that suffering is not on our list of things to do. The Bible says "But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you (1 Peter 5:10). That means in order to be anything, you gotta go through some things. There are always prerequisites to the blessings like, give and it shall be given to you pressed down shaken together and running over (y'all know this one!). That means in order for you to get the pressed down shaken together and running over blessing, you must give first. The prerequisite to being made perfect, stablish, strengthen and settle is you must suffer a while.
People of God listen, nobody told us that this journey will be easy but like the song says "I don't believe he brought me this far to leave me." Yes, we will go through many storms and battles. The Bible says many are the affliction of the righteous but (watch this) The Lord delivers them out of all. That means, God got your back, which will work together for your good! No matter what you're going through right now know this, at the end (I know it don't seem like it right now) it will be good for you. Yes I know it hurts, the tears won't stop, you don't see a way out and your heart feels like it's breaking in a million pieces. However, weeping may endure for a night, but if you just hold on joy is coming in the morning!

How To Attain The Characteristic Of Jesus Christ
Posted on 15 March, 2016 at 19:30 |

They're many people who profess that they are the children of God and His Holy Spirit dwells inside of them. However their character do not line up to what they profess. When you are a child of God people should be able to identify that, other than just your word. When you're a child of the most high God, your life and the way you live should be able tell your relation to your Heavenly Father. A wise man told me that if I take care of my character, God would take care of my reputation. You can say whatever you like but your character will reveal your true self every time.
Character by definition is the mental and moral qualities distinctive to an individual. The synonyms are personality, nature, disposition, temperament, temper, mentality, makeup. That means if you have a nasty disposition, a jacked up personality, bad nature and crazy behavior, don't get offended when people look at you sideways when you say I'm a child of God. Why? Because you character doesn't line up with the character of Jesus Christ. If you say he dwells on the inside and that you have been made new, your mentality order line up with His.
I remember someone at work lied on me to my manager and said "Frances cursed me out". My manager said to this person "in all the years I have known Frances (I have worked there for some years) I have never heard Frances curse so it's hard for me to believe you". My manager knew my character, he had watchedme for years and never heard me curse. That's something that I didn't do because for me, morally I thought it was demeaning to myself to curse someone out using profanity. I can get my point across very well without using profanity. That's shows that people are watching you all the time and already have an idea about who you are.
The Bible makes it very clear on what a child of God character should look like. 2 Peter 1:5-7 says, For this very reason make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue and virtue with knowledge and knowledge with self control, and self-control with steadfastness, steadfastness with Godliness and godliness with brotherly affection and brotherly affection with love. When we look at the first sentence in this verse we notice that it says that we must supplement our faith. The definition of supplement - something that completes or enhances something else when added to it. The Synonyms are addition, accessory, supplementation, supplementary, extra, add on, appendage. That means that it's awesome that you have faith that Jesus Christ is the son of God and he came and died for your sins, and because of that when you repented your sins were forgiven and you are now adopted into the family. However, you must supplement or add on to the faith, the character of Jesus Christ. Why, because this enhances your life as a child of God and allows you to resemble The Christ that is within you.
If you are truly a child of God your character should show virtue. Virtue is behavior showing high moral standards. You should process knowledge of Jesus Christ; knowledge is facts, information, and skill acquired by a person through experience or education, these can be attained by praying and reading the word of God. If you have on Christ then you should have self-control, which is the ability to control oneself, in particular one's emotions and desires or expression of them in one's behavior, especially in difficult situations. Steadfastness should be a part of your character as a child of God, which means standing firmly in place, not wavering or budging an inch. Let's not forget godliness, godliness is translated from the Greek word piety, which means someone's inner response to the things of God which shows itself in godly piety, reverence, or naturally express itself in reverence for God I.e., what He calls sacred or worthy. Brotherly affection in the biblical sense is an extensions of the natural affection associated with near kin towards the greater community of the fellow believers. All of these should be wrapped up in love because if God is in you, love should be evident because God is love.
People of God listen we must not let our life be just in word, but also in deeds. We ought to have the features of our Heavenly Father and therefore have his character. We shouldn't have to always profess who we are, our character should speak loud and clear for us. People who encounter us should have a Jesus Christ experience, because we should be so much like him. Let's take care of our character so that God can take care of our reputation.

How To Access The Promises Of God!
Posted on 7 March, 2016 at 22:20 |
![]() |
We the people of God believe that the Bible is the infallible word of God. We believe whatever is written in the Bible we have access to it. We believe that if God said it, it shall come to pass, why? Because it is written! It is written that God is not a man that he should lie nor the son of man that he should repent. That means there's no trickery, what is set aside and promised for you, is for you.
The problem is so many people don't take the time out and read what the Bibles says we can have, or how to access it. Others disqualify themselves due to their unbelief or disobedience. Then there are those who allow fear to hold them back from what God has promised them. If they have read what is written they would know that the Bible says God has not given you the spirit of fear but of love, power and a sound mind. I don't know about you, but if God didn't give it to me I don't want no parts of it.
There is always a part you must play in order to access the promises of God. Why do I say that? The Bible says honor thy Father and thy Mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God give thee. That means that this promise requires you to honor your Father and Mother to access the blessing of a long life. The Bible says faith without works is dead. That means in order to access that thing you are exercising you faith for, you must first put your work into it in order to get the blessing. Let me say that plainly so that you’re clear. For example you need a job and you have faith that God is going to do it for you. The faith part is covered, now for the works; you must send out your resume and put yourself out there. How would anyone know that you’re looking unless you announce it? However, if you’re just sitting at home by the phone waiting for it to ring by faith, and you’ve never done the work your waiting is in vain.
The Bible also says Position yourselves, standstill, and see the salvation of the Lord. He is with you ( 2nd Chronicles 20:17 NIV). That means that in your battle no matter what it is you're just required to stand still! God is saying you don't need a plan of attack or counterattack put your weapons down! (I don't know about you but I'm excited about this requirement!) When you just stand still God is going to fight the battle for you and give you the victory!
People of God listen if it is written you can know and trust that it shall come to pass. Please know that if God said it, he will be careful to perform it, that means He’s going to make it happen! We must continually read the word of God so we can know the promises of God and what are the requirements to access them.

What Do You Do When God Speaks A Word To YOU? Keep Speaking It Until You See It!
Posted on 29 February, 2016 at 6:15 |
![]() |
There are many of us that have dreams and aspirations that we want to achieve before leaving this earth. We go to school to get training or take up a trade that will help us to achieve our goals. Many of us spend thousands of dollars paying for university to get degrees in our desired fields. Why do we do it? Because there's something inside of us that is driving us to succeed.
When we receive a word from God we should have that same resilience and drive, knowing that after a little while it shall come to path. To many of us receive a word from God and if it doesn't happen right away, we loose hope and start questioning if God has truly said it. Unfortunately for the prophets if they speak a word from God and it doesn't come to pass right away, they then become lying prophets. That's why you have so many of those Jonah prophets trying to run to Tarshish and staying clear of Nineveh ( just a little joke for y'all that read you're bibles). Even in the old days if the prophet gave a word and it didn't come to pass, people would turn on them. They had scripture to confirm their action, the bible says when a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously, you shall not be afraid of him (deu. 18:22) However so many of us discredit the word because it didn't happen in our time frame. We must always remember God is not on our schedule and doesn't work by our rules.
The bible says Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. (Hebrews 10:38). That means ,that if you are the just and you receive a word and accept it by faith, even though the word tarry you should wait for it. Because if you don't (Ya'll better catch this) and draw back that means stop believing or give up hope, God will have no pleasure in you. Why? Because without faith it's impossible to please God! ( Hebrews 11:6)
When you give up on what God has spoken over your life, you give up on God. The bible says in the beginning was the word, and the word was with God, and the word was God ( John 1:1). God is his word and when you reject his word you reject him.
What do you do when you don't see what God spoke over your life? Keep saying what he said until you see it! I know some would say it's a cliche, however if you try it you'll know that it's an accurate statement. Let me give my testimony, I was showing symptoms of having the flu. However I refused to be sick and the word of God told me by His stripes I was healed , and that Christ bore all my sickness on the tree. That's why I always refuse sickness because my savior took care of all of that ( I'm one of those relentless faith kingdom citizens). Everybody that I spoke to kept asking me are you sick? My answer would be no, their response would be well you sound sick. That went on for a couple of days I kept saying to myself and to everyone that I am not sick. Before I knew it I looked around and I didn't have any symptoms anymore, and people stop asking me if I was sick. I never took any medicine and I never changed my daily bus routine. I just kept saying I wasn't sick until the manifestation of what I was saying caught up to what I was seeing and feeling.
Listen whatever God promised you keep saying it until you see it. That's why the Bible says let the weak say I am strong, let the poor say I am rich (Joel 3:10). When you don't feel strong say it anyway, until your spirit catches hold to it! If God said you're going be a millionaire keep saying I am a millionaire until your bank account catches up to what God has spoken. You need to continue to hear what God has said to you. Why? Because the Bible says faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God( Romans 10:17). That means in order to build your faith you must hear the word God spoke to you. The more you hear it the more your faith come! Don't get made at the prophets because the word they gave you didn't come to pass, when you expected it too. The prophet did their job and told you what thus sayest the Lord, now it's time for you to do your part keep saying it until you see it!
People of God listen don't get weary in well doing, because if you faint not you shall reap. I know you've been waiting for what feels like a long time, but keep tarring! Keep speaking what God said about you daily over your life. Because in due time if you faint not, you're going to see the manifestation of what you have been speaking. Don't stop saying what God said until you see it!

HOW TO FIGHT THE BATTLE WITHIN
Posted on 22 February, 2016 at 22:50 |
![]() |
We fight many battles in this life, and face many opponents. We can surely say that life in fact is an up-hill battle. One would think that it's always easy to identify your opponent in the battle, however what if the enemy is within? How to you fight a battle within your very own camp or body? Some would probably say how could there be an enemy inside of me, shouldn't everything in me be on the same team? That's a good question let's look at the Bible for the answer, Romans 7:23, But I see a different law in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me prisoner of the law of sin which is in my members. The Bible makes it clear that we are absolutely engulfed in a war within and both opponents are within the same camp/body.
The way to defeating your internal opponent is to know and understand who they are and what's their agenda. The Bible says that there are two laws in battle within us trying to take complete control. The law of sin and the law of your mind (we will call it the law of God) these two forces are constantly in battle within us. This battle is going on inside even when we are dealing with external battles, and we must never forget that. What is the law of sin, sin by definition is an immoral act considered to be a transgression against divine law "a sin in the eyes of God." Synonyms for sin is immoral act, wrong, wrongdoing, act of evil, wickedness, transgression, crime, offense, and misdeed. The law of sin is to fulfill its desires to commit acts of sin. The law of God are the rules of the kingdom of God and His way of life, His commandments, statues and judgments that are meant for our good. The law of God is to fulfill righteousness, a right standing with God. The law of sin produces death and the law of God everlasting life.
The misconception many people have is when they receive salvation that they no longer have to worry about the law of sin. However that is so far from the truth, because the law of sin will always be present in the members of your body. Watch this your spirit receives salvation not your flesh, your flesh will never be
( as they say) "saved." The Bible says we're born in sin and shaped in iniquity, thatmeans that the law of sin believe that it has a right to remain. However when we come into the knowledge of God and His laws, we understand that God is our creator and His laws supersedes all laws! That means we are no longer subjected to the law of sin and do not have to take heed to its desires, although they will always be ever present.
How do we fight against the law of sin? By committing ourselves to God totally and completely. We must stay alert and pay attention of the desires of sin that creep up and try to overtake us. Please be aware that sometimes the acts of sin may try to disguise it's self as a good thing, such as telling a little "white lie" to get yourself out of major trouble. Understand just because its sin doesn't mean we won't desire it, however we must remember that because something feels good to us, doesn't mean it's good for us. The Bible says we must crucify our flesh daily, and that they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affection (or desires) and lusts.
Listen we must understand that this internal battle is real and we have no choice but to fight it. Understand that your flesh is subjected to you, it can't do anything without your permission. We choose whether or not we will succumb to the desires of sin. Know that the flesh will not take it lightly when you deny it what it wants, sometimes it can make you feel like you're losing your mind (you know I'm talking right). The law of sin is strong because it taps into our desires to fuel its war against the law of God. We must realize that part of the reason we have to fight so hard, is because deep down we really want the truth, which shall make us free. However we must want to please God more then we want to please our flesh, that's how we win these daily battles. When we love God with all our hearts, minds and souls our desire to keep his commandments will override everything else.
People of God listen I know the battle gets rough at times, however remember with God all things are possible. Stay in the word of God and keep feeding your spirit so that it's strong enough to withstand your flesh. Be careful not to fuel your flesh more than your spirit. Listen what you watch and hear if it's not fueling your spirit, it's fueling its opponent, so guard your hearing and seeing. Most important in our internal battle we must be sure that God is our general, this guarantees we win these daily wars!

DO YOU REALLY KNOW THE TRUE MEANING OF LOVE?
Posted on 15 February, 2016 at 10:30 |
![]() |
There are so many people looking for love in many different places. Whether it's church, online, grocery store or night clubs, people are in hot pursuit. The desire to attain love will send you into a frenzy and for some, send them out of character just for a glimmer of it. People will lie, steal, deceive and literally destroy all for their aspirations for love. Some will falsify themselves and become what they believe another person will fall in love with. Isn't it crazy that the hunger for love can make someone believe that they can spend a lifetime pretending?Could you imagine holding up a charade for an entire lifetime thethought of it wears me out!). It is abundantly clear that there are not too many masters of the masquerade, just look at the divorce rate.
One would have to ask what is this love thing anyway, and why should I desire it? The Webster dictionary’s definition of love is a feeling of strong or constant affection for a person. Here is my problem with this definition and the reason why I believe so many people get it wrong. The definition for feelings is an emotional state or reaction. (Watch this) the definition of state is the particular condition that someone or something is in at a specific time. Feelings change continuously; sometimes you don't feel like doing something that you usually enjoy doing. You can have feelings for someone one minute and in the next minute none (no seriously I have seen it happen!). When we go by what we feel we find ourselves in these chaotic relationships because they're built on instability. The Bible says that a double minded man is unstable in all his ways. That means that if you rely on your feelings your mind will be constantly changing, and therefore make you unstable. (Catch This!) The definition of unstable is prone to change, fail, or give way, not stable, when this is your mindset you are headed for disaster!
When we have the proper definition of love we can experience and enjoy it to its fullest. I believe that the Bible definition of love is the correct definition, and is what we should seek after. The Bible says love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast, it is not arrogant or rude, it does not insist on its own way, it is not irritable or resentful, it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth, love bears all things, endures all things. (Wow) this is the love that I desire to give and receive. Let's really look at this, love is patient, the definition of patient is able to accept or tolerate delays, problems or suffering without becoming annoyed or anxious. Love is kind, the definition of kind a good or benevolent nature or disposition.
I love that the Bible description of love, also tells you what love is not. Love does not envy, definition of envy a feeling of discontent or resentful longing aroused by someone else's possession, qualities, or luck. Love does not boast, definition of boast talk with excessive pride and self-satisfaction about one's achievements, possessions, or abilities. Love is not arrogant, the definition of arrogant is having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one's own importance or abilities. Love is not rude, the definition of rude offensively impolite or ill-mannered. Love does not insist on its own way, the definition of insist demand something forcefully, not accepting refusal. Love is not irritable, the definition of irritable having or showing a tendency to be easily annoyed or made angry. Love is not resentful, the definition of resentful is feeling or expression bitterness or indignation at having been treated unfairly. Love does not rejoice at wrongdoing, the definition of wrongdoing is illegal dishonest behavior.
Listen the Bible even tells us what actions love take. Love rejoices with truth and bears all things, the definition of bears is to carry. Love endures all things, the definition of endure is suffer something painful or difficult patiently.
People of God listen before you go out in hot pursuit of something, know what you're truly looking for and how to identify it. Why? Because if you're not clear you will end up with something that you do not want. Love is an awesome thing when you truly find it according to the Bibles description. However let me leave you with this little nugget; it is always better to find this love within before you find it without!

IS UNBELIEF BLOCKING YOUR PURPOSE AND DESTINY?

The definition of unbelief is lack of religious belief, an absence of faith. Another definition , the state or quality of not believing; incredulity or skepticism, especially in matters of doctrine or religious faith. Unbelief can absolutely hinder you and delay your access to your destiny. The Bible says in Hebrews 11.16 “For he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him”. Listen people of God if we say that we believe that God is God and we believe that the Bible is His word, then we must believe what his word says. The word of God clearly says that God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. That means when you earnestly seek after God and the things of God he will reward (Bless) you. However the prerequisite is that you must first believe.Where there is unbelief there is limitation for great miracles. How do we know this? The Bible says that Jesus could not do many mighty works in his own hometown because of their unbelief (Mark 6:5-6 ). Jesus did awesome , miraculous signs and wonders all over Jerusalem. This is why thousands followed Him in droves they wanted access to that power. The Bible talks about the woman with the issue of blood. This woman had been bleeding for 12 years straight. ( My God, could you imagine!) She had spent all of her money going to doctors that could not help her. When she heard about Jesus and the miracles he was performing the Bible said that she said to herself "if I can touch just the hem of His garment I will be made whole" ( That's powerful!) the Bible goes on to say that she pressed through the crowds and touched the hem of his garment and (watch this) was instantly made whole. That issue she dealt with for 12 years had dried up the second she touched the hem not him but the hem of his garment (somebody better get this) she didn't have to touch him but the hem of his garment to be made whole. Because she believed that the hem of his garment would do the job , it did!
Let's not miss this; the people of his hometown did not get the opportunity to see Jesus operate in the miraculous because of their unbelief. The woman who suffered 12 years with the issue of blood experienced the miraculous power of Jesus because she believed. This teaches us that unbelief can hinder us from experiencing all the great miracles that God wants to perform in our life.
Listen People of God there will be times when things will go wrong, and you can't see your way out of it. There will be bad reports and there will be no human resolution for it. The Bible tells a story about a man name Jairus, he was a synagogue leader. He had a twelve year old daughter who was very sick and on the verge of death. He went to Jesus for help because he heard about all the miracles Jesus was performing and (catch this) he believed Jesus could heal her. Jairus sought out Jesus and pleaded for His help. Jesus agreed to his request and they were on their way to Jairus house. There were a lot of distraction and interruptions as they traveled. Listen to this Jairus received a report on the road while they were traveling. The Bible says that someone came from Jairus home and told him don't bother to bring Jesus to his home his daughter was already dead. ( now that's a bad report!) Watch this; Jesus overhears the report that Jairus receives and He says to him " don't be afraid; just believe, and she will be healed. ( My God I need you all to catch this) Jesus over hears them saying that your daughter is Dead! Not extremely sick or getting worst, But Dead! Listen to this he tells Jairus Don't be afraid, just believe and she will be healed.
That means it doesn’t matter what the report is, it doesn’t matter how dead the situation is or what it looks like. If you are not afraid and believe God will heal that issue, circumstance and rewrite that report. It blows my mind that Jesus didn't say don't be afraid, just believe and your daughter will be brought back to life. The report said she was dead , that lets us know that if God purposed something to live he will never call it dead. Jesus made no reference to the girl being dead or the need for her to be resurrected. (Catch this) after Jesus heard that she was dead he continued on with the plan to go and heal her. Why? His word cannot come back to him void , it must go out and establish what he said. To man the situation looks absolutely hopeless , to God it's business as usually. The Bible says in Mathew 19:26 “Jesus looked at them and said, "with man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible".
People of God we must do a self-examination of ourselves to make sure we are not operating in unbelief. We must be assured that God has great purpose for our lives and desire for us to walk into our destiny. Don't allow the enemy or lack of self-worth inflame unbelief in your life. If God has shared his will for your life with you, believe what he told you. If you have yet to seek God for his will for your life then seek him and believe He will answer.

IT'S TIME TO UNVEIL YOUR PURPOSE AND DESTINY!

There are many people who have not come to the realization of what they have been created for. Every single one of us has a God given purpose and destiny, we just need to tap into it. When we understand that God is the creator of life and that He knew us before he formed us in our mother’s womb, it should be clear where we need to go to seek out our purpose and destiny. Knowing that our creator has all the answers, we don't have to wonder, we just need to go to the source.
God is always speaking to us through His Holy Spirit, in hopes of downloading his plans for our lives. The Holy Spirit communicates with us in different ways, for example in dreams and visions, audible sounds and through the word of God, the Bible. We must position our hearts, minds and ears to hear what the spirit is saying to us. The answers we are looking for are usually right in front of our faces, and we are continuously stepping over it.
I remember struggling with my calling to ministry, I just wasn't sure that was what God was calling me to do. (let me just be honest) I had no desire to be involved with ministry on that level. Everywhere I went I would get called out by Prophets and Pastors, saying God has a call on your life for ministry. I didn't mind being called to ministry as long as it was the behind the scenes ministry, like cooking or organizing events (which I have done and enjoyed). However, God had different plans for my life, because the word I kept receiving was that my assignment was to preach and teach the gospel. I didn't want to believe it because I am on the shy side and I didn't want to get up in front of people (especially strangers) and speak to them. I thought to myself what if I say something wrong or what if people don't receive what I have to say? However, I loved God and wanted to be obedient to him, but at this point I had not heard this assignment directly from God I told myself this to give me an out, isn't it crazy how we convince ourselves that we can actually get over on an all knowing and all seeing God)
The day God pulled my vile of deception from over my eyes I will never forget. We were in service and a guest speaker said everyone who is a minister or called to be a minister please stand. That very moment the Spirit of the Lord spoke to me and said "stand up". I said no (yep you heard right!) because the Pastor where I was attending church at that time did not acknowledge my calling yet, and neither did I. The Holy Spirit spoke to me again and said "stand up"; at that very moment I looked up and a prophet that had told me that God called me to ministry, eyes met with mine. The look this prophet gave me literally pierced through my soul, and a heavy conviction fell on me like never before; and all I could do was weep. I weptlike I lost everything that I loved in life (no seriously, I'm talking snot cried)! Imagine how you felt when you had disappointed your parents and they say to you "I thought I raised you better than that (that would always get me)! Now imagine that feeling a hundred times worst. I remember The Spirit of God saying to me "Frances L. Banks I called you!" (yep he called me by my full name, I knew He meant business)!
Listen I finally accepted my calling, and realize that I didn't have to worry about what to say; because when I opened my mouth the Holy Spirit spoke! I just needed to study to show myself approved unto God, a workman who needeth not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth (2 Timothy 2:15). God was trying to reveal to me my purpose and destiny, I was just jumping over it and running (I can laugh at myself now)! The answer was right in front of me the whole time, I just needed to accept what I was seeing!
People of God listen, we all have an assignment in this life, and here is a sign that lets you know you're on the right track; God gets the glory out of it. The Bible says so whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31). That means whatever your assignment/ purpose and destiny is, it must be to the glory of God. That's how we can test if we are on the right track. So ask yourself today, am I walking in my purpose and destiny, is God being glorified!?

WHO'S ON THE LORD'S SIDE?

I have increasingly seen things going on within the body of Christ, that are not of Him. We have overlooked and accepted so much that it's becoming difficult to identify the believers and unbelievers (No Seriously)! What I find so amazing is that when a few conform to the ways of today's society, there's always a crowd that follows along. However, the Lord brought it back to me that when Lucifer rebelled against Him, a third of the Angels joined in. The Lord said to me "there will always be itching ears ready to join in". I said "Lord what do you mean?" He took me to 2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lust shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears. I realize that people conform to things that are not Godly, not just because society is doing it, but after their own lust. (Watch this) the reason why people are comfortable showing their mess on the outside, is because it's been on the inside all the time.
The Bible says "Therefore, since we have these promises dear friends, let us purity ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God (2 Corinthians 7:1 NIV). I know there are some others who I have been shouting this from the mountain top, and God has commanded me to do also; Holiness is still right! I'm tired of people using the scripture all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23) as their excuse to live a life of sin. God told me to really look at that scripture and what He showed me is, the scripture says "all have sinned" (watch this) have sinned is a past participle or past tense, that means I have done things or transgress against God in the past. The scripture doesn't say all are sinning and falling short of the glory of God, which is present participle or present tense. I say this to confirm that this scripture does not give anyone a license to live a life of sin. The Bible says " what shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that Grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? (Romans 6:1-2)
We do not have to live in sin if we are a new creation, our minds should be new, and we have the ability to live a holiness lifestyle. Many of us wonder why we don't have access to the promises the scriptures talkabout, it's because many of us don't qualify! The scripture says " let us purity ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God. We must understand that we cannot mock God whatever we sow, that is what we shall reap, and the wages of sin is death. We must also remember that we can repent for our transgressions and our God is faithful to forgive us.
Listen we need to stand up for our Lord and Savior and confirm holiness is still right. The word of God has not changed, the Bible says " make every effort to live in peace with everyone and be holy; without holiness no one will the Lord. (Watch this) I can live at peace with everyone and still be holy, that means I don't have to become like them to get along with them (I just said something). To many of us try to be like the unbeliever in attempts to be at peace with them, or to be politically correct. However, we as the believers must be the salt of the earth and when we are mixed in with the unbeliever, our salt should change them!
I was talking to a woman I know and the subject of homosexuality came up. She made a statement that she does not believe that God hate homosexuals, and that is one of her reasons for not going to church because, she loves everybody. My response to her was God doesn't hate any soul that he created; however, in His word He says he hates sin. I went on tell her that God hates all sin not just homosexuality, but murder, lying, backbiting, adulterous, fornication, all sin. After my conversations with her she said well nobody ever broke it down to me like that, and now I see it in a different light. My salt had change her flavor (somebody better catch that) not the other way around.
People of God listen, it's time for us to stand up and proclaim we are on the Lords side. When we proclaim that we are on the Lords side we must wave the banner of holiness. Let's not get spite out because we are lukewarm, however let's be a blazing fire for our Lord! Let's stand on His word and worship our God in spirit and in truth. We are a peculiar people, we should not resemble anyone other than our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Let's not hide our light under tables, but set out so all can see it shine! I ask you this day where do you stand who's on the Lord’s side!?

IT RUNS IN THE FAMILY

The Bible says in Romans 8:17 And if children then heirs- heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him (ESV). People get very excited when they hear the first portion of the passage of scripture. I can't really blame them because when you learned that you are an heir to a God that owns everything, you have no choice but to get excited. The Bible says the earth is the Lords and the fullness thereof, that means everyone and everything belongs to God. Watch this! If it belongs to your Heavenly Father because you are child and heir, it also belongs to you. The awesome thing about our Heavenly Father is, that he is willing to share his riches with us right. Remember the blessing of the Lord make rich and he has giving us the power to get wealth (somebody ought to give him a praise for that)
When you preach the first portion of this scripture you can get the whole congregation on their feet, and the “amens” will be flowing. People love to hear about the blessing of God, and what they are entitled to. People are bold when it comes to their stuff, they are willing to go into the Devil’s territory to get what belongs to them (y'all know I'm talking right). There are many songs proclaiming it's time to go get everything that the Devil stole from you. Even I blast that Tye Tribett song, singing "give me my stuff back I want it all!" (that's right I'm telling on myself). We all love the benefits we receive by being a child and heir of God, and that's absolutely fine.
However, we must not forget about the last portion of this passage of scripture, yep the suffering part. The scripture says provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him. We all want to reap the good benefits of being a child and heir of God’s, however to many of us mummer when it comes to the suffering. The Bible says "provided we suffer", when you look up the definition of provided it says - on the condition or understand. The synonyms are assuming, assumption, and contingent, that means your access as a heir of God is contingent, and the assumption, and under the condition that you understand you must also suffer with Christ (I'm trying to help somebody). To often we fall apart because of trails, tribulation that we suffer. Some of us literally get mad at God, because we prayed and prayed but we find ourselves still suffering with certain things (I'm talking right!) Unfortunately too many of us allow the enemy to convince us that we have done something out of the will of God, and we are suffering the consequences of our action. Where are the Jobs of today who will say yes I'm going through something, but I know it's not because I'm out of the will of God. Where are the Jobs of today who will say, “Though he slay me yet will I trust him!” (my God I felt that thing)
Listen suffering is one of the things that comes with being a part of the Royal Family, it's now a part of your DNA. We must always remember that nobody told us that the road will be easy; however, always know that he will not allow you to suffering more than you are able to stand. When you understand the word of God you know that, many are the afflictions of the righteous, but God see them through them all. When you have the mindset that weeping may endure for the night, but joy is coming in the morning; you go through knowing that you’regoing to come through. (I feel like leaping)
People of God listen there are some great benefits to being a child and heir of God; however, you cannot have one without the other. We must suffer with Christ to be joint heirs with him. Remember our Heavenly Father knows how much we can handle. I know it might seem like your hanging from a thread, but remember in your weakness that's when our Lord can show himself strong. Be encouragedtoday and know that our Heavenly Father sits high but never forgets to look low, and He is concerned about you!
